Silversea appoints new UK head of marketing ahead of Silver Muse debut

Cruise line Silversea has announced the appointment of Erin Johnson as head of marketing, UK & Ireland.

Johnson joins Silversea from Carnival Cruise Lines UK & Ireland, where she oversaw a number of successful marketing initiatives and a multi-million-pound advertising campaign.


During her 15 years within Carnival, Johnson held numerous senior travel management roles including marketing and sales manager, UK & Ireland, at Carnival Cruise Lines and marketing and sales manager, UK & Ireland at Holland America Line.

Based within Silversea’s London office, Johnson will ensure that the brand’s key messages and positioning are communicated to both consumer and trade audiences.

Her appointment comes ahead of an exciting period for Silversea, with the launch of new flagship Silver Muse in April this year, and the extensive renovation of Silver Cloud – which will see the vessel become an ice-class ship suitable for exploring polar waters – complete by November.

Johnson will report to McAuley and will formally begin her new role on Monday, March 20th.
