Over 75% of hotel travelers complain about Wi-Fi access fees

Out of all the fees currently being levied by the hotel industry, paying for Wi-Fi access annoys the most amount of travelers, with more than 3 out of 4 travelers responding negatively on a recent poll by Hotels.com.

The poll brought to light many of the annoyances facing business travelers. While Wi-Fi was the #1 complaint, paying for parking was a close #2 with 73% of travelers complaining about it.

The poll included 1,815 travelers. Other complaints on the list were paying for bottled water, morning newspapers, and paying for towel rentals at the gym.

Minibars are seen as a rip off, with 74% saying they’ll try to avoid them.
