The Institute of Travel & Meetings has announced the appointment of an e-marketing industry expert to help it with its social media strategy in 2012 and beyond.
Jill Quick, marketing manager at Grange Hotels, has been permitted by Grange Hotels to assist the ITM in order to develop its future strategy.
Talking about the secondment, Tony Matharu, managing director of Grange Hotels, said: “Grange Hotels has been a long term supporter of ITM contributing in many ways over 20 years.
“We are delighted to continue to provide further support to the organisation in the form of our company’s expertise and through its unique talent and experience which we feel sure will help the Institute to better understand the application of modern digital marketing channels.”
Ms Quick will assist Diane Steed, head of sales & marketing for ITM and Harriet Holmes, communications & marketing executive for ITM, in delivering and supporting the association’s e-marketing strategy.
ITM’s chairman, Jamie Hindhaugh praised the arrangement with Grange Hotels.
He added: “Jill came in to provide the ITM board with some insight into social media and we were blown away by her passion and understanding of the subject.
“I applaud the foresight of Grange Hotels and thank them for enabling their unique talent, experience and expertise to benefit our industry association.”
