Frenzel to step down from TUI Travel next month

TUI Travel chairman Michael Frenzel has announced his intention to resign as chairman next month.

The decision means Frenzel will go six months earlier than originally planned, stepping down at the TUI Travel Board meeting on March 25th.

TUI AG - parent to Thomson and First Choice - has proposed that his position will be filled by Friedrich Joussen, who has just replaced Frenzel as TUI AG chief executive officer.

TUI AG director of digital strategy Sandra Leonhard has also resigned, the company announced earlier.
