For the upcoming summer months, Four Seasons Hotel Prague has created a program that began on Earth Day, when the Hotel purchased a tree on behalf of each guest and employee over Easter weekend. Each tree carries the names of a guest, and will be planted in the city of Prague this spring. Since 2008, the Hotel’s Green Team employees have assisted and planted a tree each autumn in Stromovka city park. Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts made a global commitment to plant 10 million trees as part of its long term efforts to support sustainability. The 10 Million Trees initiative will now form the cornerstone of the company’s substantial existing corporate social responsibility program.

Four Seasons Hotel Prague will also involve guests in its social responsibility programs this spring and summer. Starting May 13, 2011, the Hotel will hold a cooking class with one of its Michelin Star Allegro restaurant chefs every Friday, and will donate the food to the Salvation Army.

Education is also of great importance to Four Seasons Hotel Prague. In 2005, the Hotel established a Hospitality Apprenticeship Program with local high schools and each year, more than 25 lucky students receive on-the-job training in true Four Seasons style. The two- to three-year program gives students practical experience in hotel operations. Upon completion, students earn a high school degree. The Hotel also works with Rytmus to provide hospitality training opportunities to students with special needs.
