Experience South Africa 2010 with One Ocean Club

The 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa kicks off on 11th June and for the first time in World Cup history; FIFA is holding the tournament on African soil.  ONE OCEAN CLUB (OOC) - offering everything you could ask for in one central location - will be the partner for full-service hospitality, as well as business, incentive and lifestyle activities, for the duration of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa.

ONE OCEAN CLUB will be offering guests, on its two luxury cruise liners, a unique and memorable experience at the three tournament locations along the coast of South Africa. Two of the world´s largest cruise liners will be anchoring in the ports of Port Elizabeth, Durban and Cape Town throughout the entire World Cup. On 23 June, a ONE OCEAN CLUB liner will be in Port Elizabeth for the Slovenia v England match. In addition to that match, ONE OCEAN CLUB will be offering flights to groups wishing to travel to the other venues during England’s campaign, and for those fans that already have tickets and flights, individual nights on board ship.

The cruise liners MS Westerdam and MS Noordam, chartered by ONE OCEAN CLUB from the Holland America Line (HAL), will be offering 4,600 extra beds for World Cup guests on two of the world´s largest cruise liners.  Calling at the ports of Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Durban from 11th June onwards, ONE OCEAN CLUB guarantees top-class, five-star hospitality for their guests through to the final on 11th July 2010. These cities are among the most well-known venues for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, and in addition to its exclusive hospitality and accommodation, ONE OCEAN CLUB will offer guests an opportunity to attend the group and knock-out games in the World Cup stadiums in Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Durban.

Identically designed, these liners are two of the most modern operated by the Holland American Line. MS Westerdam will sail back and forth between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth and MS Noordam between Durban and Port Elizabeth. Both ships are 285 metres long and offer maximum comfort, as well as optimal business facilities. On-board attractions include a fitness studio, casino, cinema, theatre and library as well as eleven bars, four restaurants, pools and a spa. Each liner has 794 cabins, 159 suites and 2 penthouses, offering accommodation for a total of 4,600 World Cup guests. Some 800 crew members on each ship will ensure excellent, round-the-clock service.

Aside from the World Cup, ONE OCEAN CLUB will be offering guests other attractive leisure activities and memorable experiences; either playing golf against the breathtaking setting of the Drakensberg Mountains, sampling the finest wines in the heart of the vineyards around Cape Town, or discovering many varied species of flora and fauna on an adventurous safari trip.

In the case of all these activities, ONE OCEAN CLUB will provide top-class security, meaning the strictest safety precautions will apply during the entire stay, including controls in the ports and on the liners - as well as a shuttle service between airports, ships and stadiums - giving round-the-clock priority to security. ONE OCEAN CLUB´s absolute professionalism and highest competence will offer guests everything needed to ensure an unforgettable World Cup and breathtaking South African experience.  Those responsible for the project attach great importance to working closely with the South African authorities and local partners. As a result, most of the food used on board over the four-week period is to be supplied by local partners and regional cultural events will also be held on board.

Not only football enthusiasts will get value for money with ONE OCEAN CLUB. Companies can also use the ships as exclusive platforms for business and incentive activities. The business facilities offered by the MS Noordam and MS Westerdam are equipped with the latest presentation and communications technology. Seminars, conferences, presentations, meetings and receptions can be organised to suit individual dimensions and numbers of attendants – providing optimal conditions for enjoying an unforgettable occasion with business associates and customers during 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa
