Directline Holidays reports huge jump in popularity of Lake Garda

Directline Holidays has recorded huge growth in sales to Lake Garda, Italy in June 2012. Sales since mid-June have increased by 275 per cent compared to the previous three week period.

The destination was the online travel experts’ fifth best-selling destination last week (30 June-6 July), and the third most popular during the previous two weeks.  For the last three weeks overall Lake Garda has been Directline Holidays’ overall third best-selling destination, whereas usually it is not to be found in the top 20 most popular destinations. Travel dates booked range from a few days hence to the end of the year.

Maria Whiteman, CEO at Directline Holidays said: “The breath-taking scenery and beautiful hotels of Lake Garda are appealing to Brits more than ever this summer and we’ve still got great value holidays on sale. Directline Holidays offers a range of Lake Garda holidays including three nights three-star half-board at the three-star La Perla, just eight minutes’ walk from the lake shore, from £376 per person departing 22 August from London Gatwick, including 20kg checked baggage and transfers.
