Getting to Aruba directly from the UK has just become easier, as Thomson Airways will be extending its flights due to increased demand.

Aruba now becomes more than just a summer charter destination: flights from London Gatwick are being extended until the end of November for this year (previously until October), while for 2012 flights will begin earlier than usual, in March, instead of May.

The weekly morning flights, every Tuesday, will now continue until 29 November 2011 and will resume on 27 March 2012.

Thomson Airways also flies directly to Aruba from Manchester, from May until October.

Visitors from the UK have grown by more than 60 per cent in the last two years and the extended flights will further reinforce Aruba as one of the top 10 Caribbean destinations for British travellers.

Apart from Thomson and First Choice, more than 30 UK tour operators now feature the island including Kuoni, Thomas Cook Signature, Hayes & Jarvis and Kenwood Travel. As of last October Aruba is also available through British Airways’ website, as part of the airline’s increased partnership with American Airlines.
