Thomson Airways celebrates Dreamliner success

Thomson Airways is gearing up to welcome its quarter of a millionth passenger on board the 787 Dreamliner as its winter 2013 programme kicks off on November 1st.

Inaugural flights to Jamaica, the Maldives, Thailand, Barbados, Kenya, Cuba, Goa and the Dominican Republic are taking place over the next six weeks.

This summer over 240,000 customers travelled on more than 860 Thomson 787 Dreamliner passenger flights since June 21st 2013, to a variety of short haul destinations, as well as Thomson’s regular long haul routes Cancun, Mexico and Sanford, Florida.

The 250,000th passenger will jet off for some winter sun this November and are expected to have a top flight experience.

Carl Gissing, director of customer service for Thomson Airways said: “We’re really excited about hitting the 250,000 passenger mark on board the Dreamliner and operating to some different long haul destinations this winter.

“As a business, we’ve worked really hard to modernise our holidays and the 787 has been a key part of that.

“We knew that customers travelling on the Dreamliner this summer would really enjoy the in-flight experience that this revolutionary new aircraft offers, so we’re delighted to receive such excellent customer feedback.”

Thomson Airways became the first UK airline to take delivery of the Dreamliner earlier this year.
