Galileo’s new ViewTrip web site offers constant update on travel itineraries

Galileo International, a leading provider of electronic global distribution services to the travel industry, has announced a ‘companion’ product to their June-launched Galileo Wireless booking service. Customers making travel bookings through agents using the Galileo or Apollo GDS (Global Distribution System) can now view their complete itineraries by logging on to the new ViewTrip web site. For the traveller on the move, access to ViewTrip through web-enabled phones and web-enabled handheld computers will help to ensure a wrinkle-free trip.
Itineraries can be viewed at any time on any day, simply by entering the ticket holder’s last name and reservation number. The ViewTrip service (currently free) enables the traveller—and their families, friends and business colleagues—to have online access to the fully up-to-the minute itinerary, including flights, check-in and arrival times, hotel and vehicle hire reservations etc.
Additional ViewTrip features are promised, such as weather updates, maps and local info relating to destinations. If you visit the site at www.ViewTrip.com, you can try out the new web tool on a sample itinerary, read the Frequently Asked Questions (and answers) and make any enquiries of your own in the Feedback section.
