Super 8 Motels Names New Manager Of Franchise Services

Super 8 Motels, Inc. announces the appointment of M.A. Waheed, a seven-year veteran in the hospitality industry, as one of the chain`s managers of Franchise Services.
In his new position, Waheed will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with Super 8 franchisees in Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona. As a primary liaison, Waheed will offer franchisees support for operational, managerial and marketing issues.

Waheed began his career in the hospitality industry in 1993, working as a front desk clerk and night auditor at Holiday Inn, Best Western, Hilton, Crowne Plaza and Motel 6 hotels. While at these hotels, Waheed was a contributing member of their marketing and sales teams. He has also spent over 20 years in the advertising industry.

“With his years of experience in the hospitality industry, Waheed will be an important addition to the Super 8 franchise services team,” said Alice Lazore, director of franchise services. “I am confident that franchisees will find his experience in sales and marketing to be especially useful.”

Waheed was educated at Osmania University in Hyderabad, India. He currently lives in Schenectady, New York with his wife, Shammi.
