Wizcom Broadens Corporate Travel Booking Capabilities With Interface To UK’s HotelHub

Cendant Internet Group, a unit of Cendant Corporation (NYSE: CD), today announced that the Company’s subsidiary, WizCom International, Ltd. (“WizCom”), has reached an agreement with HotelHub, an Internet-based corporate travel management system. HotelHub will interface with WizCom’s Internet Distribution System (IDS) to facilitate hotel booking capabilities for WizCom customers. Based in London, HotelHub is a division of the UK-headquartered Polyglobe Group. WizCom is a leading supplier of reservation and information management systems for the travel industry.

HotelHub provides online booking solutions for corporate travelers, enabling them to make travel arrangements directly from their own computers via extranets, intranets or the Internet. The new initiative with WizCom will give HotelHub’s corporate travel customers a direct link to all WizCom customer hotels. As a result, corporate travelers will be able to securely access negotiated corporate and client rates, check hotel room availability, make a booking and instantaneously obtain a confirmation number.

“WizCom has always been a leader in the European travel market. The WizCom-HotelHub agreement expands the opportunity for us to reach more hotel properties,” said Ghislaine Oliver, Head of Sales and Marketing for HotelHub. “The agreement also enhances our efforts to bring our customers a comprehensive hotel booking tool with more property information, improved search criteria and complete, customized real-time Internet/intranet-based travel booking capabilities at a fraction of the cost of traditional methods.”

“As more intermediaries enter the travel distribution scene, WizCom is committed to providing its customers with access through one comprehensive connectivity solution,” said Flo Lugli, President of WizCom. “The agreement with HotelHub gives our customers more choices and greater flexibility in booking with corporate travel managers.”

HotelHub, an Internet-based corporate travel management system, is managed and owned by The Polyglobe Group, a hotel reservations specialist founded in 1971. Its original division, British Hotel Reservation Centre, runs reservations desks at major airports and railway stations. However, Polyglobe has since moved into global online commerce with BHRC Online and The Corporate Team, which are Internet reservations services for the leisure and business markets respectively. HotelHub is the partner travel reservations services for a large number of associations and other Web sites, and The Corporate Team is used as the preferred hotel booking service of many corporations, including The British Council, Citibank Diners Club Europe, Legal & General, Inchcape Motors Retail and Admiral Plc. Polyglobe businesses book more than 300,000 room nights each year generating revenues in excess of $80 million.
