Extensity and Sabre BTS to Revolutionize Business Travel

Extensity Inc. (Nasdaq: EXTN), a leading provider of Internet-based workforce optimization solutions, today announced that it has partnered with Sabre Business Travel Solutions(R) to provide an integrated e-commerce solution to approve, book, fulfill and expense corporate travel. This is the only workforce optimization solution with a travel procurement and fulfillment application embedded in the offering to provide seamless business travel planning, transacting and reporting.

Under the terms of the agreement, Extensity will bundle the Sabre BTS(SM) travel management system with Extensity’s travel planning and expense reporting software for resale to new and existing Extensity and Sabre Holdings Corporation (NYSE: TSG) customers.

“This relationship combines the leader in workforce optimization and the leader in Internet-based travel solutions. Together we are in the forefront of corporate travel management,” said Bob Spinner, president and CEO of Extensity. “Combining the Sabre BTS corporate travel solution with our travel planning and expense reporting tools, we are able to offer our customers the best of the best, all from one single sign on and with one consistent user interface.”

The joint offering provides Extensity customers a complete end-to-end travel procurement and expense management solution that can be accessed through one common user interface, with a single user sign on. The solution enables corporate travelers to:

shop for the best air, hotel and rental car fares that are consistent with company policy, and book itineraries via the Internet;
route itineraries through the corporate approval process for pre-trip authorization when appropriate;
receive tickets for approved itineraries;
modify itineraries using the online solution, calling a travel agent or via a wireless device;
automatically create and pre-populate an expense report upon completing a trip;
download corporate card transactions directly into expense reports; and
be reimbursed for travel within days of completing an expense report instead of months.

“We are laser focused on automating the total travel transaction. Streamlining processes will lower transaction costs, directly impacting a company’s bottom line,” said Scott W. Smith, vice president and general manager of Sabre BTS. “Extensity has tremendous momentum in the workforce optimization space, and our integrated solution will drive new levels of value for our customers.”

Sabre BTS allows business travelers to make their own travel arrangements on their desktops while complying with corporate travel policies. In addition, it enables corporations to track every dollar from pre-planning and purchasing to expense reporting and reimbursement—giving the potential to save as much as 30 percent in total travel management costs. It is in use today by more than 350 customers—more than any other corporate travel management system.
