Denise Pflum has been named general manager of the 195-room Doubletree Guest Suites?’ - Doheny Beach, California, according to Glenn Hale, area vice president—Orange County/San Diego for Hilton Hotels Corporation.
With more than fifteen years experience in the hospitality industry, which includes sales and marketing, hotel operations, and revenue management, Pflum has established herself as a well-rounded hotel industry executive.
Pflum began her career in the lodging industry in 1993 with the opening teams of the MGM Grand and the New York New York Casino-Resorts in Las Vegas. She joined the Hilton team in 1997, as director of revenue management/reservations at the Hilton Anaheim, Southern California`s largest convention hotel. Pflum was promoted to director of front office operations at the hotel in 1998 and most recently served as rooms division director for the Hilton Costa Mesa, a position she has held since 2000.
A native of Chicago, Pflum received a bachelor of science degree in hotel & business administration from the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is an active member of the UNLV Alumni Association and still considers Las Vegas her second home.
