Wyndham Signs Agreement To Manage Phase II Expansion At Existing Wyndham Luxury Resort

Wyndham International, Inc. (NYSE:WYN) has signed an agreement with See Forever Ventures, LLC to manage an additional 35 ultra-luxury cabins and condos to be built at The Cabins & Penthouses at The Peaks - A Wyndham Luxury Resort in Telluride, Colo.
Construction of the cabins and condos will begin Spring 2002 and will be complete within 18 months. The opening of Phase II will further reinforce Wyndham`s industry-leading mountain resort presence, allowing the brand to offer the widest range of upscale to ultra-luxury accommodations and services in the Telluride market.

Wyndham`s Telluride presence currently includes the 23-unit Cabins & Penthouses at The Peaks, the 174-room Wyndham Peaks Resort & Golden Door Spa and the 128-room Wyndham Mountain Lodge.


Constructed from log and stone and located adjacent to the Wyndham Peaks Resort & Golden Door Spa, The Cabins & Penthouses currently offers 11 Cabins with multi-level floor plans housing three- to six-bedrooms. Plush interiors belie the cabins` rustic exteriors with vaulted ceilings, stone fireplaces, custom furniture and top-of-the-line appliances, including cable television, stereo sound systems, kitchen equipment and steam showers. There are also 12 Penthouse condominiums, situated on the upper floors of the Wyndham Peaks Resort, feature one- to four-bedrooms and a spacious living room and kitchen.


Phase II construction will include 35 new luxury cabins and condos (100 rooms) ranging in size from 1,500 sq. ft. - 5,000 sq. ft., that will be situated in a log cabin village setting offering sweeping views of the San Juan Mountain Range. A new 4,000 sq. ft. restaurant/bar/lounge with observation deck will also be constructed overlooking a breathtaking mountain ridge. New luxury units will include in-room butler and ski service; heated underground parking; a state-of-the-art communications system; heated walkways; designer kitchens that include high-end, sub-zero refrigerators; luxurious bathrooms with a Jacuzzi and steam room; and granite and flagstone accents throughout the guest units.

“When we developed Phase I of The Cabins a few years ago, it was to fill the need we saw for luxury accommodations in the Telluride market that could provide all the comforts of home with the services of the five-star resort,” said John Abrams, managing member of Abrams Development Company SFV, a joint venture company with See Forever, LLC. “As more and more people began to seek long-term, ultra-luxury accommodations in Telluride, the decision to develop Phase II at The Cabins was clear.
