Carlson Companies, Inc. Promotes Ralph W. Beha To Vice President Corporate Secretary

Carlson Companies, Inc., a global leader in travel, hospitality and marketing services, has announced the promotion of Ralph W. Beha to vice president and corporate secretary. Beha joined the company in 1997 as associate general counsel. In his new position, Beha will serve as corporate secretary to Carlson Companies and its Board of Directors, and will continue to act as legal counsel to several Carlson operating groups.

Prior to joining Carlson Companies, Beha was general counsel and secretary of Control Data Systems, Inc. He joined Control Data in 1982 as counsel for the Asia region and later served the Computer Products Group.

Beha also has practiced international law with a firm in New York City. He has taught Asian Political Economy and International Business Law in the Masters in International Management Program at the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul. A practicing lawyer since 1975, Beha has a bachelor`s degree, Magna Cum Laude, in East Asian Studies from Princeton University, and J.D. and LL.M. degrees from Georgetown University Law Center. “Since joining Carlson Companies, Ralph has made many important contributions,” said Lee Bearmon, Carlson Companies senior vice president and general counsel. “He recently served as legal lead on our successful global Y2-K team, and he also has supported several strategic and acquisition activities of our international operations.” Beha will continue to report to Bearmon.


Beha and his family live in south Minneapolis.
