Travelodge Hotels Commits To AH&LA`s “One For One” Campaign

Travelodge Hotels, Inc. has pledged to take part in the American Hotel & Lodging Association`s (AH&LA) “One for One for One for 100 Days” membership campaign. The association`s summer membership drive allows properties to join participating AH&LA member state associations for $1 per room for one year if they enroll within the campaign`s 100-day span from Memorial Day to Labor Day, 2001.
“Through my own experiences as a member of the AH&LA team, I`ve seen the incredible value of the association`s resources,” said Robert T. Foley, Travelodge President and CEO. “The `One for One` campaign is an ideal way to introduce our owners and operators to the extensive benefits of AH&LA.”

AH&LA membership allows Travelodge properties to receive association benefits, including an employment practices liability insurance program and a national health insurance plan. These are in addition to valuable existing products and services such as access to millions of travelers through AH&LA`s reservations Web site, GotRooms.com; lobbying to protect the lodging industry`s business interests at the federal level; networking and educational opportunities at the association`s conferences and trade shows; discounts on training materials from AH&LA`s Educational Institute; and complimentary, award-winning publications, including Lodging magazine.

“This campaign has quickly gained momentum causing an enormous increase in AH&LA`s membership base,” said 2001 AH&LA Chairman John Russell. “Travelodge`s commitment to this membership drive helps adds creditability and value to the association`s many benefits and incentives.”
