Jim Hartigan Named Senior Vice President

Jim Hartigan has been named senior vice president - quality assurance and guest assistance for Hilton Hotels Corp. (NYSE:HLT).

Hartigan most recently served as vice president - quality assurance and guest assistance, a position held since 1997. In his new position, Hartigan is responsible for the organization that provides consistent quality control review over all of Hilton Hotels Corp.`s major brands. He reports to Tom Keltner, executive vice president - Hilton Hotels Corp. and president - brand performance and franchise development group for the company.

Hartigan joined Promus Hotel Corp. (now Hilton Hotels Corp.) in 1992 and served as the general manager of the Embassy Suites Omaha, Neb. In 1995 he moved to Memphis joining the Homewood Suites brand as senior director, field marketing. For the past four years Hartigan has led the company`s quality assurance and guest assistance teams and directed the development process for providing quality control services for all of the Hilton brands.

The quality assurance area is a direct reason that Hampton Inn and Embassy Suites have done so well in the JD Power Awards—with both brands winning for the past two consecutive years. Hartigan began his hospitality career in full-service hotels working with such brands as Sheraton and Ritz Carlton. He also worked eight years with Marriott hotels, serving a variety of franchised properties in numerous executive positions.
