David Keys Named Regional Vice President

David Keys has been named regional vice president - sales and marketing, Northeast and Middle Atlantic for Hilton Hotels Corporation.

Keys most recently served as director of sales and marketing at the Waldorf-Astoria(R), a position he held since 1998.


Keys is responsible for the sales and marketing operations of Hilton(R) and Doubletree(R) hotels in these regions, which include hotels and resorts in 10 states. He has direct involvement with the hotels to ensure alignment, support, direction and resources for the effective development and implementation of the respective hotel sales and marketing plans, and oversee the regional directors of sales and marketing in these regions. Keyes is based in New York and reports to G. Steven Armitage, senior vice president - sales of Hilton Hotels Corporation.


A 17-year Hilton veteran, keys began his hospitality career in 1983 at the Waldorf-Astoria as a trainee. He joined the Hilton Washington in 1988, where he served as assistant director of sales. In 1993, he returned to New York as director of sales for the Hilton New York, and in 1995 was promoted to director of sales and marketing.


A native of Massachusetts and New York, Keys earned his bachelor`s degree in business and hotel management at Fairleigh Dickinson University. He is actively involved with MPI, HSMAI, Historic Hotels of America, and PCMA.
