ResortQuest Vacation Sign With AAA

MEMPHIS, Tenn., Oct 16, 2002 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/—ResortQuest International, Inc. (NYSE: RZT), one of the world`s leading managers of vacation rental properties, has reached an agreement with AAA Auto Club South that will give club members preferred rates on ResortQuest vacation condos, homes and villas across North America.

Under the agreement, AAA Auto Club South members will receive the best possible rental price on the quality-rated ResortQuest managed accommodations in Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, and Whistler, BC Canada.

AAA Auto Club South is the third largest affiliate of the AAA federation with over 3.5 million members in Florida, Georgia, and the western two-thirds of Tennessee.

ResortQuest`s alliance is the first time that a nationally branded vacation rental company has signed with a AAA club. ResortQuest manages fully furnished vacation rentals in every price range, from affordable spacious condos and villas to luxurious private homes; rates for quality vacation condos and homes start at under $100 per night.

“This is a landmark agreement for ResortQuest. A large portion of our business is from `drive to` feeder markets. We anticipate this agreement will give a boost to sales-especially in the Southeast where our destinations are more dependent on drive-in traffic,” said Jim Olin, ResortQuest President and CEO. “This agreement, though, has national reach, and our ski and desert destinations receive a good portion of their business from the Southeast.”

Vacation rentals are popular, especially with families, and ResortQuest is the undisputed leader in this space,” said William Latta, Vice President Financial Services and Member Benefits for AAA Auto Club South.

For details Auto Club South members should call or visit their nearest AAA office. Club members can also ask their AAA travel counselor for more information.
