Marriott Announces Opening of Renaissance Suites Denver

WASHINGTON - August 26, 2002 - Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR) announced today that the 232-room Renaissance Suites Denver Broomfield Hotel is scheduled to open on September 20, 2002. Situated within walking distance of the FlatIron Crossing Shopping Center, the new Renaissance Suites Denver Broomfield Hotel offers convenient access to several hiking/biking trails and three championship golf courses. Located at 500 FlatIron Blvd., the 10-story hotel is managed by White Lodging Services of Merrillville, Ind., and plans to employ more than 150 associates.

Situated 40 miles from Denver International Airport and minutes from downtown Boulder, the Renaissance Suites Denver Broomfield Hotel boasts beautiful views of the Flatiron Mountains and features western-inspired décor, complemented by a combination of marble/stone, metal elements and natural textures. The new hotel also offers convenient access to the Interlocken Business Park, home to companies such as Sun Microsystems and McData.

The property offers 6,300 square feet of meeting space, including the 2,880-square-foot FlatIron Ballroom which features breathtaking floor to ceiling window views of the Flatiron Mountains. Comprehensive audiovisual services and a fully equipped 24-hour business center are available. Additional hotel amenities include an indoor pool, outdoor whirlpool and sundeck, 24-hour health club, sundry shop, guest laundry and valet service.

All guest rooms at the Renaissance Suites Denver Broomfield Hotel are one-bedroom suites with a separate walk-through vanity area and bathroom. Equipped to meet the needs of business and leisure travelers, the sitting area includes a sofa bed, cable television with remote control, two-line cordless phone with data port, high-speed Internet access, refrigerator, executive work desk, ergonomic chair, AM/FM alarm clock radio and CD player.
