Wyndham Resorts Receive Top Golf Awards by Discriminating Readers of `Conde Nast Traveler`

Three Wyndham International properties (NYSE:WYN) have been distinguished as among the very best golf resorts in the world in `Conde Nast Traveler`s` June 2002 “75 Top Golf Resorts” issue.
The AAA Five Diamond Boulders Resort & Golden Door(R) Spa in Carefree, Ariz. and The Lodge at Ventana Canyon in Tucson, Ariz., both part of Wyndham Luxury Resorts and repeat honorees of this and many other golf accolades, are joined by Wyndham El Conquistador Resort & Country Club in Las Croabas, Puerto Rico. Wyndham El Conquistador is the only resort in Puerto Rico to have been named and is among the top five golf resorts in all of the Caribbean according to the listing. In the golf mecca that is Arizona, the rankings make The Boulders #1 and The Lodge at Ventana Canyon #2 in the state again this year.

“Wyndham is dedicated to offering world class experiences at our resort properties, and to have received these distinctions by the sophisticated, well-traveled readership of `Conde Nast Traveler` is a true honor,” said Jay Litt, Wyndham`s Senior Vice President of Resort Operations. “We are especially proud that Wyndham El Conquistador has earned a place alongside our Arizona properties.”

An extraordinary desert hideaway, The Boulders Resort & Golden Door Spa is situated in the Sonoran Desert foothills and offers guests two Jay Morrish-designed, 18-hole, par 72 courses. The dramatic architecture of The Boulders blends with the surrounding desert and the 12-million-year-old granite boulder formations located throughout the landscape.

The Lodge at Ventana Canyon also takes its distinction from its tranquil desert setting. Known for their rugged beauty, the resort`s par 72, Tom Fazio-designed Mountain and Canyon courses are excellent examples of how strategic use of the natural terrain can result in challenging and environmentally sound courses.

Wyndham El Conquistador, a tropical paradise situated on a bluff overlooking the converging waters of the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean, is spread out over 500 acres in the quaint fishing village of Las Croabas. Its dramatic par 72 Arthur Hills-designed golf course offers breathtaking views and great play. Travelers may also choose to stay at the AAA Five Diamond Las Casitas Village, an intimate and exclusive resort within a resort at El Conquistador, a part of the Wyndham Luxury Resorts portfolio.
