Qantas Adds Los Angeles Flights

Qantas will introduce two additional return flights each week from Brisbane to Los Angeles via Auckland from 1 July, taking the total number of Qantas Los Angeles services to 28 each week.

Qantas Executive General Manager Sales and Marketing John Borghetti said the airline also planned to add four Boeing 747-400 return services a week between Sydney and Los Angeles from January 2003, further increasing Qantas Los Angeles services to 32 each week.

“These new services will result in Qantas offering three flights each day between Sydney and Los Angeles and total Qantas services to Los Angeles returning to the pre-September 11 level of 32 per week, ” Mr Borghetti said.
Qantas USA services currently include:

* double daily return Sydney - Los Angeles services; * daily return Melbourne-Los Angeles services; * five return services per week from Brisbane to Los Angeles via Auckland; and * three return services between Los Angeles and New York.

“As well as offering extensive schedules, we provide a three-class service on 747-400 aircraft featuring newly installed inflight entertainment systems, in-seat telephones and refurbished interiors,” Mr Borghetti said.
