Marriott to Open Courtyard Hotel in Longmont, Colorado

WASHINGTON - May 14, 2002 - Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR) is scheduled to open the 78-room Courtyard by Marriott in Longmont, Colo., this June. Located at 1410 Dry Creek Drive., the Courtyard by Marriott Longmont/Boulder will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by White Lodging Services Corp. of Merrillville, Ind.

Situated 50 miles from Denver International Airport and 15 minutes from downtown Boulder, the Courtyard by Marriott Longmont/Boulder offers guests great views of the Rocky Mountains and convenient access to area businesses, including IBM, Xilinks, Intrado, Maxtor, and Gunbarrell Business Park. Rates range from $89 to $199.

Courtyard guest rooms feature either a king-size bed or two queen-size beds, a seating area with sofa bed or oversized chair, a large, well-lit work desk and two telephones equipped with data ports. Other amenities include in-room coffee maker, hair dryer, iron with ironing board, and cable television with a free premium movie channel. The Courtyard by Marriott Longmont/Boulder features three suites with a king-size bed, refrigerator and microwave oven, and two king-size suites with whirlpool spas.

The three-story hotel also offers one meeting room with 700 square feet of meeting space to accommodate small meetings and functions of up to 45 people theater-style. Other guest services and features include:
