Hilton Hotels Corporation to Manage New Convention Center Hotel in Omaha, Nebraska

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Apr 23, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE)—Hilton Hotels Corporation announced today that the company has signed a 15-year agreement to operate and manage the Hilton Omaha—a new 450-room convention center hotel in downtown Omaha, Neb. The hotel will be owned by City of Omaha Convention Hotel Corporation and developed by Austin, Texas-based Landmark Organization.

Situated on a 5.5-acre site adjacent to the new Omaha Convention Center (which is currently under construction and scheduled to open in Summer 2003), the Hilton Omaha is scheduled to break ground on April 30 and open for business in early 2004.


When completed the mid-rise, eight-story hotel will feature nearly 15,000 square feet of meeting space (including 18 various sized meeting rooms and a 10,000 square-foot ballroom), a restaurant and lounge and a full service health club and swimming pool.
