America West Announces Internet Fare Sale

(AWA) announced today a fare sale for four new markets that the airline begins serving in October. These introductory low fares are available for new service in Medford, Ore., which begins on Oct. 1, and Billings, Mont.; Pittsburgh; and Calgary, Canada, where service will begin on Oct. 27.

America West Express, which is operated by Mesa Air Group, will provide service in Medford and Billings using the 50-seat Canadair Regional Jet. America West Airlines will provide service in Pittsburgh and Calgary using the Airbus A319 aircraft which features seating for 12 in first class and 112 in the main cabin.

Specially reduced fares are available for sale at from now through Oct. 6 for travel from Oct. 7 through Dec. 15, 2002. A seven-day advance purchase and one-night stay are required. The maximum stay is 30 days. The blackout dates are Nov. 27, Nov. 30, Dec. 1 and Dec. 2, 2002.

Customers who take advantage of these special deals will also receive 3,000 FlightFund bonus miles for every roundtrip ticket purchased at with travel completed by Dec. 31, 2002.



Sample fares are each way, based on a roundtrip purchase and do not include Passenger Facility Charges of up to $20 per itinerary, the September 11 Security Fee of $2.50 per segment, up to $10 per itinerary or federal excise taxes of $3 per segment. A segment is defined as a takeoff and a landing. Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights or in all markets. Flights may be provided by America West Airlines or America West Express, which is operated by Mesa Air Group and Chautauqua Airlines. Tickets are nonrefundable and subject to change fees.
