Northwest Airlines’ WorldWeb Offers Discount For Award Travel Reservations Booked Online By Northwes

Northwest Airlines is offering a 1,000 mile discount to its WorldPerks members who use Northwest’s Frequent Flyer Center on the carrier’s web site at www.nwa.com to book their award travel between May 1, and June 16, 2000. For example, a trip at the 20,000-mile award level will require just 19,000 miles. The discount is applied immediately upon purchase of Award Travel and will be reflected in the online booking process.

“Northwest was the first major carrier to offer online redemption of Frequent Flyer miles for Award Travel and our customers have enthusiastically embraced this technology,” said Beth Shultis, Northwest Airlines vice president marketing programs and worldwide advertising. “We are pleased to reward our loyal online customers with this special promotion.”


The online discount for Award Travel Reservations is available to WorldPerks members who book their Award Travel online at www.nwa.com. Online reservations must be made between May 1, 2000 and June 16, 2000 to qualify. Miles will automatically be deducted from the required WorldPerks mileage for each qualifying trip at the time of reservation. Online Award Travel Reservations is available to WorldPerks members who reside in the US and have a valid credit card with a US billing address.
