America West Launches New Service

America West initiated the only daily nonstop service between Las Vegas
and Des Moines, Iowa, today. America West Express, which is operated by
subsidiary airlines of Mesa Air Group, will provide the Des Moines flights
using regional jets. This new service gives business and leisure travelers
even more opportunity to take advantage of America West`s
business-friendly fares which are 40 to 70 percent lower than most other
major airlines and do not require a Saturday night stay.

“We`ve received outstanding customer support for our flights between
Phoenix and Des Moines, so we`re pleased to be adding service to our hub
in Las Vegas, which is also a popular vacation destination,” said Dion
Flannery, vice president, scheduling, route planning and Internet
distribution. “America West is also pleased to provide Spokane and Toronto
customers seasonal service to Las Vegas. We hope to garner enough customer
support for these flights from both communities to be able to offer this
service year-round.”

America West is also increasing seasonal service between Las Vegas and
several existing markets including Colorado Springs, Colo.; Eugene, Ore.;
Minneapolis; Raleigh-Durham, N.C.; and Washington/Dulles.

Also today, America West is resuming seasonal service between its Phoenix
hub and Telluride, Colo. and Manzanillo, Mexico (effective Dec. 20, 2003).
Additionally, America West is adding flights between Phoenix and four
markets including Calgary, Canada; Los Cabos, Mexico; Seattle; and
Spokane, Wash., for its winter schedule.

“Our seasonal schedule accommodates customers who want to hit the slopes
in Telluride or escape the winter doldrums with a trip to the beach in
Mexico,” said Dion Flannery, vice president, scheduling, route planning
and Internet distribution. “We`re also pleased to offer customers in
Canada and Washington state an additional nonstop flight to Phoenix during
the winter months.”
