US Airways to Begin Vegas Service

ARLINGTON, Va., Aug. 5, 2003—US Airways will introduce new nonstop Saturday service to Las Vegas from both New York-LaGuardia and Boston-Logan airports, beginning on Nov. 1, 2003.

Service between LaGuardia and Las Vegas will operate each Saturday using Airbus A321 aircraft. Flights will depart LaGuardia at 6:15 p.m., and will arrive in Las Vegas at 8:47 p.m. Return flights will depart Las Vegas at 3:30 p.m., and will arrive in LaGuardia at 11:15 p.m.

Boston-Las Vegas flights will operate each Saturday using Boeing 757 aircraft. Flights will depart Boston at 5:45 p.m., and will arrive in Las Vegas at 8:31 p.m. Return flights will depart Las Vegas at 2:30 p.m., and will arrive in Boston at 10:26 p.m.

“These new nonstop flights will create an even more convenient way for our customers in the Northeast to visit one of the most popular leisure destinations in the world,” said Daniel M. McDonald, US Airways vice president - planning and scheduling.

US Airways currently operates three daily Charlotte, N.C.-Las Vegas roundtrip flights and four daily Philadelphia-Las Vegas flights. The airline also operates four Pittsburgh-Las Vegas flights Sunday through Friday, with two round trip flights on Saturdays.
