US Airways Philly-Grand Bahama Route

US Airways will begin daily nonstop roundtrip service tomorrow between its Philadelphia hub and Grand Bahama Island.
The new service will operate daily, using 169-seat Airbus A321 aircraft on Saturdays and 120-seat Airbus A319 aircraft Sunday-Friday. Flights will depart Philadelphia at 8 a.m., and will arrive on Grand Bahama Island at 10:49 a.m. Return flights will depart Grand Bahama Island at 12 noon, and will arrive in Philadelphia at 2:18 p.m.

The new route is Philadelphia’s 17th to the Caribbean and the third new Caribbean route from Philadelphia that the company has added since December 2002. Leo, US Airways vice president of international. “This new service increases Philadelphia’s standing as one of the premier Caribbean gateways in the U.S., a trend we will continue next month with the addition of nonstop service to Punta Cana.”
