Southwest Names New Station Manager


Southwest Airlines recently announced Mike Parrish as the new station manager for its operations at San Diego Lindbergh Field. In his new position, Parrish will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of all flight activities in San Diego.

I am excited about joining the sensational team in San Diego,” said Parrish. “I hope that I can serve the Employees and the community with the same dedication to excellence that has produced our Company’s continued success.” Parrish joined the Southwest family in 2001 as the assistant Station Manager of Customer Service in Las Vegas. He has served the airline industry for 20 years, holding various leadership roles.
Parrish also is a graduate of Southwest’s Manager in Training (MIT) program, a course designed to help prepare individuals for Southwest leadership roles.

“Mike’s experience, dedication, and Southwest Spirit make him a great asset to the San Diego management team,” said Dave Kissman, Southwest’s regional director of ground operations.

Southwest Airlines operates in San Diego with 80 daily nonstop departures toAlbuquerque, Austin, Chicago Midway, El Paso, Kansas City, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Nashville, Oakland, Phoenix, Sacramento, San Antonio, San Jose, and Tucson with additional direct or connecting service to 37 cities.
