America West Introduces Travel AWArds


Looking for the perfect gift for employees, clients and family members? America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA) introduces Travel AWArds, prepaid travel certificates with the flexibility that allows the recipients to choose when and where they travel.

For a flat rate of $359* each, Travel AWArds are good for roundtrip travel on America West and America West Express within the 48 contiguous states. As a special holiday offer, now through Dec. 31, 2002, Travel AWArds require a minimum purchase of just two certificates. Effective Jan. 1, 2003, the minimum purchase is 10 certificates. Customers who purchase 100 or more certificates will receive a 10 percent discount. Travel AWArds are redeemable by recipients up to one year from date of purchase, and are non-refundable. A 14-day advance is required for ticketing, as well as a one-night minimum stay.

*The price for certificates includes the U.S. Federal Air Transportation Tax. Where applicable, U.S. domestic segment taxes are additional and will be collected at time of ticketing. U.S. domestic segment tax for each taxable domestic segment is USD $3 per segment beginning in 2002 and USD $3 plus applicable cost of living adjustments for years after 2002. A segment is defined as a takeoff and landing. Passenger Facility Charges of up to USD $9 each way or USD $18 roundtrip depending on itinerary, are additional, and will be collected at time of ticketing.
