FORT WORTH, Texas - Just in time for the fall travel season, the AA.com Web site and AAdvantage Marketing Programs are offering another way for customers to turn miles into travel. AAdvantage members may now book a first or business class PlanAAhead® award, with 40,000 AAdvantage miles for travel within the continental U.S. (including Alaska) and Canada, on AA.com. In addition, for every award booked on AA.com, American is offering AAdvantage members up to 1,000 AAdvantage bonus miles.

The 40,000-mile PlanAAhead Award complements American’s 25,000-mile PlanAAhead Award, which allows customers to redeem their AAdvantage miles for coach class air travel on the AA.com Web site. Members can go to Reservations/Book Flight, select the Award tab and login with their AAdvantage number and password. The new award-booking feature can be used for air travel on American Airlines, American Eagle® or AmericanConnection® flights.

The award-winning American Airlines Web site, www.aa.com, is recognized as one of the largest e-commerce sites on the Internet (Media Metrix). The AA.com site was recently named one of Yahoo! Internet Life’s “10 Most Popular Travel Sites,” and received an “Outstanding Web site” WebAward from the Web Marketing Association. Customers who log in with an AAdvantage number and password receive personalized news, information and specials, including Net SAAver® & Special OffersSM, the best place to find fare sales, AAdvantage bonus offers and discounted vacation packages online. In addition, the site offers online management of AAdvantage accounts, award booking and proactive flight-status notification by voice or text message via a variety of communication platforms.

AA.com 1,000 Mile Booking Bonus: AAdvantage members are eligible to earn up to 1,000 AAdvantage bonus miles for every round-trip ticket booked on AA.com with travel completed by June 30, 2003.

Bonus offers are valid for round-trip travel on American Airlines, American Eagle or AmericanConnection. Miles will be credited after travel is completed. Bonus miles do not count toward elite status qualification. Bonus will be posted within 3-4 weeks after flight activity is posted to the traveler`s AAdvantage account. AA.com bonus applies to person traveling. No registration is required
