Delta Premiers New York Chefs

NEW YORK, Oct. 3, 2002 - Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) will introduce its New York Chefs In-Flight program to BusinessElite U.S. customers, beginning Oct. 3. The new meal service, specially designed by one of New York’s finest chefs, Troy Dupuy of La Caravelle restaurant, will be available on most Delta BusinessElite U.S. flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Los Angeles International or San Francisco International airports.

To celebrate the launch of this program, customers who book roundtrip BusinessElite U.S. tickets between New York-JFK and Los Angeles or San Francisco will have the opportunity to earn a maximum of 10,000 miles in Delta’s SkyMiles program.

Delta’s New York Chefs In-Flight program, created in partnership with American Express and NYC & Company, will highlight a different top New York City chef every quarter through September 2003. The program will include unique entree offerings and a keepsake in-flight menu highlighting the chef and restaurant. Additionally, SkyMiles members will earn double miles when they use the Delta SkyMiles Credit Card to pay for their dining charges at La Caravelle from Oct. 1 through Dec. 31, 2002.
