ATA Marks 30th Anniversary

Indianapolis-based ATA (American Trans Air, Inc. Nasdaq: ATAH), celebrating its 30th anniversary, is offering customers greater service and more schedule flexibility. The carrier today announced plans to increase the number of scheduled service flights to/from Chicago-Midway and Indianapolis in November and December.

“These frequency additions are a result of better fleet utilization and more efficient scheduling of the company`s aircraft,” said Stan Hula, ATA`s Vice President of Planning. “We are pleased that we can reward our customers` 30 years of loyalty to ATA by offering them convenient schedule options suitable for both their business and leisure travel needs.”

In Chicago-Midway, beginning November 19, the carrier will add a fifth daily, nonstop flight to Dallas. On December 19, a sixth daily nonstop flight will be added to Minneapolis, as well as a fourth daily nonstop flight to Charlotte.

From Indianapolis, ATA will add a second nonstop, daily flight to both St. Petersburg and Orlando on November 1. Beginning November 19, the carrier also will increase service from Indianapolis to Ft. Lauderdale beginning from six days per week to daily.
