Frontier Airlines Adds One Airbus A319 To Its Fleet

Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT ) today announced it has added one Airbus A319 aircraft to its operating certificate. The airline purchased the 132-seat Airbus A319 with 10 year financing arranged through PK AIRFINANCE, a wholly owned subsidiary of GE Capital Corporation, at a fixed interest rate of 6.54 percent. The aircraft was put into the airline’s scheduled service on Sunday, Aug. 12. With today`s announcement, Frontier’s fleet consists of 18 737-300s, seven 737-200s and three Airbus A319s, for a total of 28 aircraft.

“This is the third Airbus aircraft we have added to our fleet, and we are very pleased with the positive customer and employee reaction thus far to our new aircraft,” said Frontier President and Chief Operating Officer Jeff Potter. “We are on target to meet our annual capacity growth goal of approximately 20 percent for fiscal year 2002, and look forward to the deliveries of aircraft 904 and 905 during the month of September.”
