Kong Appointed Vice President, Strategic Services

Thirty-year hospitality industry veteran David Kong has been named vice president of Strategic Services for Best Western International.

In this newly created position, Kong will oversee Strategic Planning and Gold Crown Club International, Best Western’s frequent guest program. He will also establish Best Western’s database analytics capabilities.


Prior to joining Best Western, Kong was with KPMG Consulting (NYSE: KCIN) as a Senior Manager in the Hospitality & Real Estate practice. Prior to that, he was employed by Hyatt Hotels Corporation for 19 years where he held senior positions in operations and sales and marketing. He has also held positions with Regent International and Hilton Hotels.

He has completed the Executive Development Program at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management from Northwestern University and has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Travel Industry Management from the University of Hawaii.
