America West Airlines Waives Change Fee On 13 Routes

America West Airlines today announced
that it is waiving the $75 change fee for non-stop flights between Phoenix and
13 markets.  Beginning Oct. 1, customers who purchase tickets for travel
between Phoenix and Albuquerque, N.M.; Las Vegas and Reno, Nev.; El Paso,
Texas; Salt Lake City, Utah; Los Angeles, Burbank, Oakland, Ontario,
Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco and San Jose, Calif., will not be charged
the penalty fee applicable to non-refundable fares when they need to change
their reservation.

“We are providing greater flexibility for customers traveling in these
markets,” said Mike Smith, senior vice president, marketing and sales.  “Based
on customer feedback and market analysis, we believe these changes will be
well received.”
