New General Manager For Gulf Air In UAE


Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Oman and Qatar, has announced the appointment of Mahfood Ali Alharthy as General Manager,  United Arab Emirates (UAE).
“With responsibility for all aspects of our operation in United Arab Emirates, Mr Alharthy’s appointment comes at an exciting time, given the vigorous restructuring initiatives that are underway to overcome the current challenges facing the aviation industry,” said James Hogan, President & Chief Executive, Gulf Air. 
On his appointment Mr Alharthy said: “A large part of my role will be to harness opportunities for Gulf Air, by restoring customer confidence through innovation and the consistent delivery of exacting customer service.  It is indeed an honour to serve the United Arab Emirates during such a defining period for Gulf Air.”
Mr Alharthy’s vast experience has been gained during his 17-year association with Gulf Air, which includes various responsibilities he held as Area Manager for the airline’s operations in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, as well as the markets of Guam, Brunei and the South Pacific.
