Air Canada has been voted `Best Airline for Travel to Canada` by the readers of Business Traveler International Magazine for the eighth consecutive year.

” We are delighted to be recognized by business travellers in such a consistent manner in such a competitive market,” said Marc Rosenberg, Vice-President, Sales and Product Distribution, accepting the award in New York. ” Business travellers are among our most discerning customers. The award is a tribute to the ongoing efforts of Air Canada employees in ensuring service excellence and a superior product.”
The awards are based on an annual survey of more than 2,000 Business Traveler International readers. In addition to Air Canada`s `Best Airline for Travel to Canada` award, the carrier received top honour in the `Best Sparkling Wine` category in the Business Class wine survey.

Air Canada`s Star Alliance partners United Airlines and Lufthansa were also honoured with three and two awards respectively.
The `Best Airline for Travel to Canada` follows several other accolades for the airline during the year. Earlier in the year Air Canada was named `Best Passenger Service Airline` by Air Transport World Magazine and was honoured with four distinctions at the 1999 OAG (Official Airline Guide) Airline of the Year Awards including `Best North American Airline`.
