Air Canada to Launch Daily Non-Stop Service to Madrid and Amsterdam

Air Canada will commence daily non-stop service
between Toronto-Madrid and Toronto-Amsterdam in time to meet summer travel
demand in 2002. Air Canada will offer the only year-round non-stop service
between Toronto and Madrid beginning April 7, 2002. In addition, the carrier
will resume daily summer service to Amsterdam beginning June 1st until
October 25, 2002. Flights on the new routes will be operated with state-of-the-
art Air Canada wide body Boeing 767-300 aircraft.
“Both Madrid and Amsterdam are important markets for travelers and
freight forwarders to and from Canada, and both are currently underserved
following the withdrawal of Canada 3000 from the market,” said Marc Rosenberg,
Vice President, Sales and Product Distribution. “This represents an excellent
opportunity to introduce the only non-stop year-round service linking Toronto
with Madrid, the gateway to the entire Iberian peninsula, as well as summer
service to Amsterdam, one of Europe`s most popular vacation destinations.”

Flights have been timed to offer customers convenient connections to and
from up to 50 cities in Air Canada`s extensive North American network
throughout Canada, the United States and Mexico.
