Bed Down With BA

British Airways is going flat out to ensure its passengers snore all the way to New York. The airline has now completed fitting the revolutionary Club World flat bed on aircraft operating all flights between London Heathrow and New York JFK.

From today passengers will be able to enjoy the comfort of a completely flat six foot bed in Club World on the six daily British Airways flights in each direction between the two airports.

Soon Club World passengers on British Airways’ flights between London and Hong Kong will also be able to dream their flight away when the bed is rolled out next month on the airline’s two daily services in each direction between the two cities.

Martin George, British Airways’ Director of Marketing, said: “We have delivered our promise and now all business passengers on our flights between Heathrow and JFK can enjoy the comfort and privacy of our new completely flat Club World beds.

“Customer reaction to new Club World has been overwhelming and we are delighted that from this month we will now be able to extend the benefits of the bed to passengers on our Hong Kong flights.

“The introduction of the beds on British Airways flights to Hong Kong will be followed by worldwide rollout.

“We will also be introducing our new cabin for longhaul economy passengers, World Traveller Plus on flights in the coming months.

“We are now offering our passengers the best products at great value. Customers can choose from a wide range of fares in Club World and First offering flexibility and value for money.”

British Airways is the only international airline to offer business passengers a seat which turns into a completely flat six foot bed. The new beds are grouped in forward and rearward facing pairs and create a unique “lounge in the sky” environment.
