Escape British football mania and take a bargain break to Europe. British Airways has launched a summer sale and reduced its ticket prices by an average of 20 per cent to over 35 destinations in Europe.

Prices, inclusive of taxes, fees and charges, start from £77 for a return ticket to Paris, £93 to Stockholm, £119 to Rome, £125 at Geneva, £158 to Barcelona and £175 to Prague.

Tickets can be booked until 26 June for travel from now until 15 July.

For sunseekers hot spots on sale include: Marseille from £159, Palma and Larnaca from £199, Faro from £202, Malta from £215, Malaga from £230 and Madeira from £242.

The sale also includes selected flights from Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle and Southampton.
