United Offers Several Mileage Plus Bonuses


CHICAGO, June 25, 2002 - United Airlines announced today it will offer new Mileage Plus bonuses to reward customers for booking their summer travel through the carrier`s website, www.united.com. These limited-time bonus offers are effective through September 30, 2002. United also announced today an enhancement to its online award travel booking process. Customers can now book online all of their United award travel to international destinations, as well as domestic destinations.


“Our web site is an easy, efficient way for people to book air travel,” said Chris Bowers, senior vice president sales and marketing. “The Mileage Plus bonuses we are announcing today are our way of rewarding customers for choosing our web site in making their travel plans.”


Customers can take advantage of these bonus offers:


* Online Award Travel:
Book your Mileage Plus Saver or Standard Award Travel on United through www.united.com using a U.S. issued credit card and, once you complete your travel, receive 1,000 bonus miles in Mileage Plus, United`s award winning frequent flier program. With United`s new website functionality, Mileage Plus members can now book all United award flights - international and domestic—online.
* Other Online Bookings:
Book a United ticket through www.united.com using a U.S. issued credit card and automatically receive 1,000 bonus miles. Receive an additional 1,000 bonus miles (for a total of 2,000 bonus miles), for the first time you book a ticket through www.united.com. Bonus miles are credited once you complete your travel.
* E-mail messages:
Opt to receive e-mail messages of your choice and receive 500 bonus miles while joining Mileage Plus online, registering on united.com or updating your profile. Choose from e-mail options including E-Fares and other fare offers, travel updates, promotional offers and Mileage Plus communications. Email permissions must be active as of January 5, 2003 to receive mileage bonus. This offer is available one time only to new subscribers.
