Delta Connection begins seasonal jet service today between Nantucket, Mass., and the cities of Boston and New York (LaGuardia), providing customers with convenient access to the popular summer destination. Delta Connection carrier Atlantic Coast Airlines (ACA) will operate the service through Sept. 2, 2002 with the 32-seat 328JET aircraft.
Delta Connection offers travelers the convenience of four weekend round-trip flights between New York (LaGuardia) and Nantucket and three weekend round-trip flights between Boston and Nantucket, beginning today. Delta Connection also will offer customers two daily round-trip flights between Nantucket and Boston beginning June 1. Extended weekend schedules also will be in effect from July 4 through July 7 for the holiday period.
SkyMiles members will receive double bonus miles for travel on qualifying Delta Connection flights between Boston and Nantucket or New York LaGuardia and Nantucket from May 24, 2002 through Aug. 31, 2002. This offer is valid for all new and existing SkyMiles members in the United States, Canada, Bermuda, the Caribbean and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
SkyMiles customers traveling between New York LaGuardia or Boston and Nantucket can earn 2,000 miles for round-trip travel—double the normal mileage credit.
In addition to the bonus miles, customers can earn a SkyMiles bonus of 1,000 miles for each round trip or 500 miles each way for each ticket purchased at delta.com. Except as otherwise indicated, all Delta SkyMiles program rules and conditions apply.
“Travelers in the Northeast now have easy-to-use jet links between Boston or New York and this popular summer destination,” said Fred Buttrell, president and chief executive officer, Delta Connection, Inc. “The convenience of several flight selections and the 328JET’s wide cabin, comfortable ride and cabin service make this an attractive travel option for customers.”
The 328JET is built for customer comfort, with a surprisingly wide cabin and aisles that offer customers ample space while they travel. The aircraft has an all-leather interior and one-by-two seating, with no middle seats.
Delta SkyMiles members may earn mileage by flying Delta, Delta Connection, Delta Express, Delta Shuttle and Delta’s airline partners, including Delta’s SkyTeam partners. The Delta SkyMiles program offers many other mileage-building opportunities, including the Delta SkyMiles Credit Card from American Express, MCI, participating hotels, car rental companies, cruise lines, restaurants, home buying and selling, and flower purchases.
