Air Canada Launches New Tango Service Today between Kelowna and Toronto

Tango by Air Canada service took to the skies
today between Kelowna and Toronto. A host of local officials as well as Air
Canada and Tango staff were on hand to inaugurate the new service with festive
celebrations including a ribbon cutting and an on-board give-away of two
tickets anywhere in the Tango network for two lucky passengers on the
inaugural flight.

Tango one-way fares on this route start as low as $239, more than 80 per
cent off full economy fare, with no minimum stay or advance purchase
requirement, a convenient schedule and the opportunity to accumulate Aeroplan
miles redeemable for future reward travel.

The Tango website at now offers the ability to check up-
to-date day-of-flight departure and arrival times. Tango also offers an
enhanced in-flight service with new menu selections and the opportunity to
purchase a variety of new Tango branded merchandise.

In addition to low fares, simplified ticketing, a convenient schedule and
Aeroplan mile accumulation, Tango offers customers a host of additional
customer benefits including:

- Complimentary advance seat selection for a limited introductory period - A unique “all extras are optional” in-flight service, including a menu selection of hot and cold snacks and refreshments at reasonable prices - An all-economy cabin providing up to three inches more seat pitch than other domestic carriers and consistent with Air Canada`s industry - leading level of comfort - Ample stowage space for personal articles and carry on baggage - Air Canada`s reputation for the highest safety and operational standards.


The Tango network expands for summer 2002 to include 23 Canadian cities
with service to Victoria, Vancouver, Abbotsford, Kelowna, Edmonton, Calgary,
Regina, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Thunder Bay, Windsor, London,
Québec City, Montréal, Halifax, Fredericton, Saint John, Charlottetown, St.
John`s, Deer Lake and Gander.  By summer 2002, Tango will offer up to 98 daily
departures and 686 weekly departures linking markets from coast to coast.
