American Airlines Introduces a New and Improved AA.com

FORT WORTH, Texas - Looking for an easier way to book travel online? Look no further - the new AA.com is now here. American Airlines has launched a completely redesigned Web site, AA.com, which is easier to use and offers more ways for customers to save time and money.


With a design inspired by customer feedback, the new and improved AA.com features a sleek look, greater personalization, and helpful customer service resources. The new site also offers more intuitive navigation and a search function, making it easier for customers to find information and book travel. The most popular site features have been placed on the home page, with new “fly-out” menus that put all other information just one convenient click away.


Site content on the new AA.com is divided into eight broad categories - “My Account,” Reservations, Travel Information, Net SAAver & Special OffersSM, AAdvantage®, Business Programs, Customer Service and About AA.


“My Account” - This feature allows users to customize their personal information that appears on their home page and throughout the site. The “My Account” section contains information relevant to the specific user, including online fare specials based on preferred airports or cities, AAdvantage elite status and mileage balance, and a listing of their current reservations and flight status notifications booked on AA.com. “My Account” also offers a Net SAAver Alerts feature, which allows users to select up to 30 city pairs they would like to be notified of regarding fare sales.


Reservations - The streamlined booking process in the Reservations section allows users to book air travel, car and hotel reservations, redeem AAdvantage miles, purchase electronic upgrades and subscribe for flight status notification all in one convenient place.

Travel Information - This section, which includes gates, times and flight schedules, provides customers with current travel information. Also available in this section are new routes, maps, weather and destination information.


Net SAAver & Special Offers - Great fares, AAdvantage bonus offers, discounted vacation packages and other specials are easy to find in the Net SAAver & Special Offers section - the convenient one-stop travel shop on the new AA.com. The section also includes a Net SAAver Search feature, allowing users to search all discounted fares posted on AA.com by departure and/or arrival city.


AAdvantage - In the AAdvantage section on the new AA.com, loyal customers have the ability to manage their account, purchase upgrades, book award-travel using miles, signup for promotions, receive exclusive partner offers and more.


Business Programs - This new section includes information on Business Rewards, AA Cargo, Corporate Travel, Prepaid Travel, Group & Meeting Travel, Incentive Flight & Gift Certificates, AAdvantage Incentive Miles and Airport Amenities.


Customer Service - With the site search feature and more robust ” Frequently Asked Questions” found within the Customer Service section, customers can find information when they need it and where they need it. In addition, the Customer Service section provides password help, baggage and refund information, and “Contact AA,” a detailed list of Customer Service, Ticket Office and AAdvantage e-mail addresses and phone numbers.


About AA. - About AA provides the user with American Airlines system information, including clickable system maps, Admirals Club locations and AA ticket offices. The section also offers a link to investor relations and other company information.
