BVI announces developments at CTC-26

Dr. Orlando Smith, minister of tourism of BVI stated at a press conference during CTC-26 that the British Virgin Islands will play host to a new marine centre, which is planned for development on Tortola. The centre will be operated by the son of world famous Jacques Cousteau who is also penned to be the BVI’s official marine spokesperson. The centre is set to become the leading observation unit in the world.
The island network will also see the development of a golf course and five-star, 200-room resort on Beef Island.
Improved customs facilities are proposed and there will be promotions for sports fishing off of the island of Anegada, which has long been protected owing to the fact that it is a coral atoll with pristine marine life and waters.
