World Travel Group has announced that it will be in attendance at this years CHIC conference in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Members from the group will include renowned iPEX photographer, Ben Roberts and publisher of The Very Best Magazine’s Nicola Brookes. The four day event will be hosted at The Bávaro Convention Center which is one of the largest convention centers in the Caribbean and Latin American area.
The theme, the “Unconventional Convention”, applies to the laid-back and relaxed atmosphere that CHIC is promoting for the conference this year.

Speaking of the event Roberts said, ‘This is a great opportunity for us to meet with the hotel owners and ensure quality images are taken and then rendered for our unique and comprehensive site’s. We have in the region of one hundred Virtually site’s now, with www.virtually-the-world.com
being our flag ship.’
Nicola Brookes believes that this will be a fantastic meet and greet, and a chance to catch up with old acquaintance’s, ‘I am very excited that this year CHIC will be hosted in the most up-and-coming region of the Caribbean, Punta Cana. It is a very valuable event and the CHA have prepared a fantastic line-up.’

The event intends to bring hoteliers and the media together. It is an ideal chance for hotels and resorts to gain the publicity that they require.

Lorraine Ortiz, the Caribbean Hotel Associations Communications Director says that, ‘For CHIC 2003, we wanted to do away with all the hoity-toity stuffiness of most conventions, in order to stimulate camaraderie and a stronger sense of community.’
