The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors has announced a redesigned version of its official Web site located at vegasfreedom.com and the launch of a new toll-free phone number. Both resources allow visitors to reserve room reservations and to take advantage of special promotions destination wide.

Vegasfreedom.com`s most significant new feature its “great deals” link, which offers promotions from properties located throughout Southern Nevada, from the world-famous Strip and Downtown Las Vegas to surrounding cities such as Laughlin and Mesquite.

“The great deals section of vegasfreedom.com and our new toll-free number are first-time features for Las Vegas,” said Rossi Ralenkotter, vice president of marketing for the LVCVA. “These new tools were added based on feedback we received from Las Vegas visitors who told us they wanted more information and great values.” Vegasfreedom.com also offers an “airport information” link to provide travelers with up-to-the-minute details about Las Vegas` McCarran Airport. Another new section called “entertainment highlights” provides details on upcoming high profile events and shows.

Travel professionals will find the “meeting planners” link especially useful, providing hotel and convention space information along with each property`s “hot date deals” link which lists available convention dates. Visitors can also register for an online trip giveaway, available in October through June 2002, which includes 4 day/3 night hotel accommodations, round-trip airfare for two within the continental United States, and ground transfers to and from the airport. The new operator-assisted toll-free number, 877-VISIT-LV, allows callers to make hotel reservations and find show, event and special promotion information.
